The Chop Bloc was founded by me, Wes - a keen home cook with a desire to get the best kitchen equipment available, and someone who wanted to extend my passion for interior design into the kitchen.
We've all been there. It's the exciting time of moving into your first place, and you need to buy everything. So off you pop to the nearest large-scale homeware store to get it all sorted in a day. Everything's mass produced, has no personality, and does the bare minimum job it was made to do.
I was guilty of this too. But over time I started to invest in the best versions of what I could get - proper peelers, garlic crushers, kitchen scissors - and then came the purchase that changed my kitchen habits forever: a proper kitchen knife.
As someone who wants my kitchen style to be an extension of my home, I saw the value in buying a mix of unique, stylish and efficient items for my kitchen. That interest is what I want to bring to others, and that's how The Chop Bloc was born.
Today, that means a curated range of Japanese kitchen knives, kitchenware and the handy accessories that make a kitchen feel like yours.
